Medicinal Plants

Throughout history, medicinal plants have been used to cure illnesses and have at the same time been surrounded by both superstition and mystique. Some of the plants are today considered highly poisonous and not for ingestion. Many medicines used today are still based on certain medicinal plants, but are now developed in a more chemical form. Today, natural medicinal plants are mostly used as a supplement to regular medicine. For example, peppermint tea can help with constipation and ginger is good for nausea. Always use medicinal plants based on additional knowledge about each individual plant. That knowledge can, for example, be found in books or online. The poster is very decorative for any room in the home and offers an insight into our amazing medical history through time.

The medicinal plants are illustrated by botanical artist Kirsten Tind and we have created this exclusive edition of the very popular poster.
